We’re Back for the Season! - Ventnor Bay Charters

There’s something special about the start of a new season on the water. After winter maintenance in Bembridge, Penelope is back home in Ventnor and ready to welcome guests aboard once again.

So far this season, we’ve already enjoyed a few fantastic trips out on the water, along with some truly unforgettable sunset cruises. Watching the sun drop over the Isle of Wight coastline from the sea is always a highlight, and it’s been great to share those moments with our first guests of the year.

We’re really excited for what’s ahead and looking forward to welcoming many more people aboard in the coming months.

The Isle of Wight has so much to offer from the water.

Its coastline is full of hidden coves, dramatic cliffs, and quiet stretches that are often best explored by boat rather than from land. Being out at sea gives you a completely different perspective of the island, especially along the south coast, where the scenery feels wild, natural, and constantly changing.

Aboard Penelope, we keep things relaxed and comfortable. She takes up to 12 passengers, so there’s plenty of space to move around, sit inside or out, and enjoy the journey without feeling crowded. Whether you want to sit back and take in the views or get closer to the action, the boat is designed for both comfort and flexibility.

This season so far has included everything from private picnic-style charters on the water to relaxed public trips with our local guide sharing stories about the island’s coastline and history.

Every trip has been different, which is what makes being out on the water here so enjoyable, you never quite know what you’ll see next.

We’re proud to be based in Ventnor and to share this part of the island with both visitors and locals alike. There’s still so much more to explore this season, and we can’t wait to get back out there and continue showing people the Isle of Wight from its best angle - out at sea.
